Outstanding Website

The United States is the only country competing in the Olympic Games that does not receive government funding, making the contributions of American citizens critical to Team USAs overall performance and success. As the 2012 London Games approached, the USOC needed a way to inspire more citizens, particularly those of a younger generation, to participate in the Olympic Movement and contribute to the cause. The American people are the team behind the team. For the 2012 Olympic Games, every American would be able to join in the journey to London by helping to create the flag that will accompany the U.S. team at the 2012 Opening Ceremony. This flag will represent the entire country just like our athletes. Beginning with the site hub and donation engine, we developed an experience that presented compelling reasons to support Team USA, from athlete profiles to infographics correlating every donation to an athletes training.
