Outstanding Integrated Ad Campaign

The General Motors Careers online experience seeks to simplify a very large and complex global organization, making it easy for candidates to navigate to a country or functional discipline of interest within the company. The main object is to provide candidates a direct route to career opportunities, while surrounding them with content to support the culture and employment experience.
From the careers website to social media, the online experience seeks to fulfill the needs of a variety of audiences that include students, new college graduates, and experienced professionals. GM also provides information for all of the career disciplines that range from finance to engineering, as well as supports the diversity efforts of the organization. On Facebook, fans can find information about the green initiatives at the company, global opportunities, functional opportunities, student specific information, videos and more. Candidate questions and comments are responded to in a timely manner, and employee stories and topical new items are shared with the fan base.
Supporting GM Student Programs is a huge component of the online experience. The Student Center of the US area of the website provides content specifically for students including intern and co-op information and links to specific job information, as well as scholarship information. GM uses a QR code to drive students to this area of the website and the content is mobile optimized. Student Programs uses an ecard postcard server to provide distinctive and targeted information to students who have accepted offers, and to extend the employer brand.
