Ventra is the new payment system for the Chicago Transit Authority and Pace. The first transportation payment system of its kind available in the US, customers can now choose between a Ventra MasterCard, prepaid card, single-ride and one-day passes, and bank-issued personal credit and debit cards. The Chicago Transit Authority, a long-time customer of Americaneagle.com, needed a strong website design and development partner that could tackle the complex transportation system integrations and ecommerce capabilities required by the CTA for this project, all while providing a positive, and easy user experience on the front end. Working with Cubic, the innovative transportation system responsible for bringing Ventra to Chicago, Americaneagle.com designed a simple and modern site that reflects the Ventra brand. It allows users to manage their transit accounts online and allows them to add value, add passes and control auto-load features via the Desktop or Mobile website. In addition, a migration process was needed in order to transition the Chicago Card Plus Users over to the new Ventra System.
