Forsythe specializes in technology solutions, specifically as it relates to helping companies streamline their data centers for reduced costs and improved performance. Forsythe’s 2010 Annual Report, Moving Toward Tomorrow’s IT (www.forsytheannualreport.com) was produced in print and as a microsite. Though privately held, Forsythe produces an annual report to educate target audiences on the company’s business model, annual financial results and strategic direction for the coming year. The target audiences include: Forsythe’s 900 employee owners (Forsythe is 100% employee owned through its Employee Stock Ownership Plan); 250 manufacturer partners; lenders; clients and prospective clients. Our overarching goal was to talk about industry and client changes and how Forsythe successfully addressed each one, and will continue to do so. We also make a point in the CEO Letter to report on our successes, such as reaching $1 Billion in gross revenues. This year’s theme, Moving Toward Tomorrow’s IT, specifically refers to how IT leaders explored new horizons of IT architecture to move their businesses forward and stay competitive. Our messaging discusses that while our clients’ needs and the technologies available to them continue to evolve at a rapid pace, we adapt with them, offering cutting edge technology solutions with the bottom line top of mind. We also promote our expertise and implementation of the new technologies – virtualization, convergence and cloud solutions. Visually, we chose clean, strong and simple images to help us illustrate our technology offerings as innovative. At the beginning of our interactive website, we display one blue ball with three lines of balls rolling or “converging” into the one. This conveys the message of technology convergence, which was strong throughout the industry last year. The blue ball then turns into Forsythe’s logo and represents us as experts to “turn to”. Forsythe CEO Bill Brennan reiterates the theme in his letter to stakeholders. He states, “…We are proud to be moving with the times toward the new IT. The year 2011 promises to be filled with challenges and change.” Brennan’s message guided Forsythe's corporate marketing group to produce the messaging and creative with an ad agency. This is Forsythe’s third year publishing its annual report as a microsite as well as in print.
