MORE FUN PER GALLON CAMPAIGN
In the late spring of 2012, The Arkansas Department of Parks and Tourism was conducting a “One Tank Travels” offline advertising campaign. Designed to entice travelers to take road trips to Arkansas destinations, the campaign did not include a social media component. With the 2012 summer approaching swiftly, the Department wanted to reach out to its Facebook fans and make a splash on its Facebook page. Unfortunately, the Department’s fiscal year was drawing to a close, and funds were low. Nevertheless, Arkansas fans deserved to experience the Natural State, and the Department sought out Aristotle’s online marketing and media team to help them develop an affordable Facebook promotion. The Department wanted to create a buzz on Facebook that would increase their fan base. They also wanted the Facebook push to increase fan engagement and maintain it after the campaign had ended.
