Wyndham Oceanside Pier is a lovely resort situated across the longest active pier in California. With its amazing location and beautiful views, the property needed a site that conveys its prime amenities. The property sought Milestone to help increase their online especially in the very competitive San Diego beach market. Milestone developed a search optimized website for the hotel with the purpose of enhancing performance, drive traffic, and increased revenue Milestone’s strategy for the hotel included: 1. Keyword research – based on the location and other demand generators in the market. 2. Search engine optimized content - each webpage is focused on a unique keyword theme serving as individual virtual sales people on the internet selling into different market segments. 3. Website search optimization – used several unique strategies to develop keyword-rich meta-tags for every page of the website. 4. Organic and local promotion- involves submission to major and local search engines, directories, IYPs, and local citation channels. 5. Website design and programming – using the latest Google webmaster and SEO guidelines. 6. Social Media: a. Integrated social sharing buttons to help increase fan base and social signal. b. Integrated social media buttons linking to the property’s social media profiles for cross-channel optimization. The site launched on December 17th 2012 and has already seen incredible results. Within the first month, the property saw: • 64% increase in overall website traffic • 81% increase in Google traffic • 17% decrease in bounce rate
