Best Military Mobile Application, Best Of Show Mobile Application

The state-of-the-art Navy SeaPerch app gives young students (primarily high school age) an opportunity to explore their interests in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) in an engaging, hands-on way with a strategic Navy tie-in.

The app launches users into a custom 3-D aquatic world. Guiding them through the streamlined process of building a virtual ROV. Challenging them to run their newly constructed underwater robots through virtual game-like courses. Inviting them to learn about everything from marine engineering to nuclear propulsion to diving. And all this, while educating eager young minds with insight into the Navys role as a leader in all of these areas.

Beyond providing early awareness to the STEM-passionate students the Navy hopes to one day count among its ranks, the app also encourages those students to share their experience via app-prompted posts or tweets further expanding the reach of the messaging.
