FOX VALLEY TECHNICAL COLLEGE WEBSITE
The Fox Valley Technical College website redesign team reimagined the entire online audience journey and built a new responsive website from scratch. The old site had over 4500 pages of content, most of which were not well integrated with other related content. With the new site, dynamic efficiencies were built in to keep content fresh and greatly improve the customer experience.
FVTC's audiences span four generations and touches both B2B & B2C segments. The responsive redesign followed a "mobile first" approach. All content was rewritten and reorganized to support specific pathways. Since launch, mobile traffic has increased by 200%.
The new site was designed to promote conversions. Relevant calls to action were paired with short interest forms to promote further interaction with the college. Within six months post-launch, the B2B "Share Interest" inquires surpassed the entire volume of inquiries from the previous year. The academic programs previously didn't have an online interest mechanism. With the new site, college recruiters waded through over 900 quality inquires within a three-month period.
The NewsCenter creates a publishing hub on the site. Student success stories and other content from the NewsCenter flows into the rest of the site and out into the greater community. These stories are powerful testimonials and they highlight the value of learning new skills at the college. www.fvtc.edu/News
With survey results from internal and external audiences noting nearly 90% find the site to be "very to extremely professional," another goal of this project was successfully attained.
