Outstanding Interactive Application

Rock n Roll Marathon Series is the Worlds Largest Running Series with more than 500,000 runners taking part in 28 destination events around the world. They wanted to increase engagement with current fans, generate leads, and ultimately drive conversions for their series by taking advantage of the New Year Resolution timeline. They hired IMI to create, promote, and track the success of a social media and content marketing piece, Which Running Destination Fits your Personality Quiz.

The goal of the social media and content marketing campaign was to increase brand awareness by encouraging interaction with current and potential customers. IMI created a 9-question multiple choice quiz that asked the question - Which Running Destination Fits Your Personality? It took the user through a visual journey, choosing the persona that fit them best. The quiz would then calculate their answers and suggest the destination and corresponding race that best fit with their personality.

The secondary goal was to increase organic traffic to their website and increase race registrations. The final performance measurement IMI looked at was how many leads the quiz generated and the quality of those leads. IMI measured the conversion rate of email opt-ins and revenue attributed to the quiz to determine the success of the campaign.
