UPS AND T3
UPS REGIFTER
Regifting is usually the holiday season's little secret. People do it, but don’t talk about it. But this year, UPS did. To share season’s greetings and subtly keep UPS top of mind during the holidays, UPS and T3 developed UPSRegifter.com. The site, along with a Facebook application, lets users send virtual regifts to friends, family, and co-workers in a fun, eco-friendly, no-wrapping-paper-required way. On the site, regifters can upload a photo of their unwanted gift or choose one from the site’s gallery. To illustrate the concept, T3 created a video styled after 1950s-era black-and-white instructional films. By taking a humorous approach and including social components, UPS departed from its standard brand image and connected with a younger audience of potential future decision makers.
