Best Government Integrated Ad Campaign

Celebrating the launch of its new new Hello Sunny marketing campaign, the Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention & Visitors Bureau staged Goodbye Chilly, Hello Sunny events in New York and London in January 2013, creating a tropical oasis for cold-weary commuters and passersby with life-sized palm trees, beach umbrellas, heat lamps and bikinis suspended in large ice blocks for photo opps. These events surrounded broadcast TV spots, print ads including New York Times and New York Magazine, outdoor billboard advertising in Times Square, online and social media ads. The New York event transformed the Rockefeller Center ice skating rink into a Fort Lauderdale beach scene with free skating for the day, chances to win a beach getaway, colorful ice dancers and street teams who distributed Hello Sunny sunglasses and Sunny.org ice scrapers. The Goodbye Chilly, Hello Sunny tour continued to London’s Canary Wharf financial district also featuring frozen bikini photo opps and giveaways.
