Banyan Tree Mayakoba started running digital media in January 2018. Although the hotel is part of a bigger hotel chain, this particular property hired our Media Services to help them boost their web reservations:
Pay-Per-Click and Display Remarketing were the selected channels for this campaign.

The message and look of our Media Campaigns has always been very important to the client, in order to ensure that we are in-line with hotel Branding.

Over the past year, several optimizations were performed, and the strategy moved from a mix of upper and lower-funnel channels, to a lower-funnel campaign, focused on English searches only.

I addition to that, we’ve been working on improving our conversion rate from the USA, being the main revenue driver market for the property. As the USA started experiencing the cold temperatures of a harsh winter, we wanted to show potential customers how pleasant the weather was in the Mayan Riviera, Mexico. Starting in January 2019, we launched a Remarketing Weather banner that displays real-time weather data of the destination.

By running this new Weather Banner, Banyan Tree saw sizeable increased on all KPIs when comparing year-over-year. When comparing January 2019 with the same month in 2018, we see a dramatic improvement in Remarketing performance with 12x increase in revenue and a 15x improvement in Return On Ad Spend.
