Danone’s SToK bottled cold brew coffee is all about providing that bolt of lightning you need to turn your passion into action -- without being boring or pretentious. So it made perfect sense for this fun, edgy brand to want to reach its young and active audience on streaming video platforms...while breaking some new technological ground SToK teamed up with interactive advertising platform true[X] to create a totally unique experience for desktop and connected TV platforms. On both platforms users could navigate through an interactive carousel that offered details about the relatively new StoK product line in order to drive awareness of its fun, irreverent brand and diverse array of beverages. But on connected TV, it went one step further: Based on SToK’s “Eagles of Motivation” commercial, where an eagle swoops down to help a StoK customer literally fly, true[X] and SToK built a first-of-its-kind experience that used 360-degree video to allow users to virtually “soar” from the comfort of their living rooms. They could control the perspective with the touchpads on their Apple TV remotes. The campaign’s results were just as amped up as a chilled bottle of cold brew: The campaign led to a 114% lift in brand awareness for SToK, and the average 60 seconds that desktop users spent interacting with it was fully twice the 30-second minimum. For the 360-video version it was an even more impressive 65 seconds. It couldn’t be more fitting for a brand that’s all about reaching new heights.
