During a pandemic, wellness and savings are both more important than ever. That’s why Walgreens team approached true[X] to create a digital coupon circular, highlighting value-based messages for a range of products, and providing opportunities for users to click out and shop each of them. To speak to multiple users within a single unit based on their needs, the experience begins by letting the user choose which category they’d like to shop. From there, the experience pulls in the Walgreens API to feature the latest deals within each category. This interactive experience ran alongside long-form, full-episode streaming video, incentivizing users to interact for 30 seconds in exchange for a lower ad load for the rest of the episode they were watching. With no video required to watch, this unit provided plenty of real-time deals for users to explore and click out to within the guaranteed :30s time spent. And it was a hit, clocking in 2.7 average interactions and 12.1% CTR on desktop.
