The inspiring stories of student achievements, research discoveries, and community service at the University of Guam are many, but with an ever-increasing number of communication channels and fragmentation of people’s attention, it becomes harder to get these stories in front of our intended audience.
The Big G Weekly newsletter was developed as a way to ensure our internal audience received news of our university-wide achievements directly and in an efficient, consolidated format.
Sent weekly, the newsletter is customized for three audiences – students, employees, and alumni. The stories serve as a means of encouragement, of inspiration, and of community-building.
The newsletter also includes the most comprehensive list on campus of upcoming events as well as the latest opportunities for scholarships, fellowships, internships, research funding, and more, giving recipients additional value and therefore incentive to open the newsletter each week.
