John Hancock’s retirement app makes it easy for participants to safely manage their retirement account, anytime, anywhere. The app offers facial recognition and touch ID for convenient access to the retirement plan, including the ability to enroll, view account details, make changes to the account, and use helpful financial tools that provide the participants with guidance on their retirement saving strategies and financial priorities. Participants can use the app to securely connect with their plan: • Register, enroll, and access their retirement account. • View account details—including balance, rate of return, account/transaction history, and investments. • Make account changes—including contribution rate and profile updates. Set goals and get projections of estimated spending and income in retirement. • Model saving scenarios, receive guidance to help meet their spending needs, and track their progress. • Use helpful tools and resources for timely education on personal finance and wellness topics. As consumers perform more and more transactions on their phones, it’s important that they be able to do the same with their retirement plans. John Hancock’s retirement app helps meet people where they are—with their phones in their hands—so they can interact with their plan whenever and wherever they want. They can model saving strategies, change their contributions or investments, and even improve their financial literacy right on the app. And they can do so securely, by logging on with facial recognition and touch ID. With easy, secure access to their retirement plan, participants can manage their account, receive personalized guidance and education, and track their progress toward their retirement goals, anytime, anywhere. As of 12/31/23 - 501,380 participants were utilizing the mobile app, 142,971 more participants than 2022 on that date.
