Best Health Care Social Media Campaign

The Business Objective: With the awareness of their IMMUNITY-FX product lagging, Afexa Life Sciences Inc. decided to build an interactive trivia contest designed to leverage the loyal users of their flagship product, Cold-FX. This concept was an expansion of an existing trivia application Afexa had already been running through social media giant FaceBook. But with ever changing FaceBook regulations, Afexa decided to create an application outside of the social media portal so they could obtain greater control over their own tools and branding. Afexa’s goal was to enable users to create trivia accounts using Facebook and Twitter logins. This allowed for a range of sharing capabilities and unique ranking possibilities within the application. The Solution: BlueRush created the new trivia application along with a trivia blog. The blog complimented the application by providing a wealth of pertinent and searchable health care information. While the trivia application provided a clean Flash-based front-end interface for users to use, the need to provide daily trivia and winner updates raised other concerns. To deal with this, BlueRush provided Afexa with a custom Google Web Tools (GWT) solution that enabled them to easily manage frequent changes to the application. The application is run seasonally. During its first year, it had daily traffic of between 400-500 visitors. And while the trivia blog was initially introduced to support the application, it saw between 500 -1000 visitors each day and has continued at this level even after the trivia application was closed at the end of last winter.
