Hotel BLOOM! Brussels (www.hotelbloom.com), in the heart of Brussels, Belgium, is one of Europe’s most eclectic boutique hotels. It offers guests 305 unique rooms, each of which has been hand-painted by a different young European artist. The hotel’s social presence dramatically conveys the stay experience. TRAVELCLICK worked closely with Hotel BLOOM! to define to their social media objectives to build guest loyalty, generate awareness and create buzz about the hotel. We then developed a strong presence for Hotel BLOOM! across multiple social media channels including Facebook, Twitter and YouTube, all of which reflect the brand values of the property, its uniqueness and creativity. As part of the social media program, TRAVELCLICK provided Hotel BLOOM! with extensive training and consulting on how to best achieve their objectives, including measuring performance and optimizing marketing and communication activity. Provocative promotions like “Stiletto Catwalk” and “Eat Your Heart Out, Valentine” are promoted on social sites to generate buzz for the in-house restaurant and drive reservations for the hotel through the “stay with us” tab. The overall social media program was launched in June 2010 and the results have been impressive. Facebook growth was +354% in monthly active users since June 2010. Recent promotion generated 4,000 impressions from a base of 1,600 members, signifying a great viral effect. In addition to Hotel BLOOM!’s success on Facebook, other social media channels such as Twitter and YouTube continue to see month over month positive growth in terms of Followers and Views, respectively.
