After receiving hundreds of job and placement applications over the years from university graduates, Fifteen found that the majority of those applying for jobs in the design industry were simply ill-prepared.

Fifteen have always been a regional industry leader in educating and supporting design graduates looking for their first job after university. To help better prepare graduates for the ‘real world’ situation they’d be facing, we decided to make a series of infographics to explain how to best prepare yourself for that first nerve racking interview.

The infographics seamlessly acted as a self-promotional piece of content marketing for Fifteen, from which we could gain valuable backlinks to our website from universities across the UK. The infographic is one of three, all of which can be found here: www.fifteendesign.co.uk/infographics

We began outreach to colleges and universities in order to guide their students towards the Fifteen landing pages. The infographic gives students the opportunity to submit their portfolio where we offer our free advice before they submit it to potential employees. The infographics are a real value to students and they give colleges and universities a great reason to link to our landing pages.

We attained 13 high profile links from colleges and universities, 104 portfolio submitted and our landing pages were shared across Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and LinkedIn. These links have provided Fifteen with higher domain authority and citation flow and the website’s SEO visibility has increased over 25%. But more importantly provided over 100 students with sound, professional advice.
