Best Marketing Websites

How do you cut through a tough year for businesses and the economic uncertainty of the year to come? How do you get clients, friends and colleagues to take a break from the hustle, bustle and stress of the holidays and stop to take a look at a holiday greeting that’s clearly self-promotional? You create an experience that’s cool, interactive and fun to share with others. That’s how. Winsper Wonderland, a viral microsite, did just that by encouraging friends, family and business colleagues to “snow” each other during a holiday season filled with reasons not to be focused on fun. The Flash-based functionality allowed users to build snowmen and snowwomen (and sometimes other people we are not sure what gender) for their own satisfaction, or to "snow" a friend by building a character of their intended recipient and seamlessly emailing it to them. Then they had the option to post their creations to a gallery (like a face book) for all to see, as well place it on their favorite social media site of choice. Initially intended for primarily a B2B audience, Winsper Wonderland quickly grew to thousands of general consumers, 480 of whom posted snow creations in the first 3 days. Safe to say we were successful in creating a needed, albeit brief, diversion from what can be the most stressful time of year. Not the most wonderful. How often can you say that in advertising?
