WDSHE and Deadline combined creative powers to concept this one of a kind social application. The "Dug Whisperer" widget was a fun interactive creation which allowed fans to embed him on their profile, almost like a virtual pet. Users could interact with the widget by playing tug-o-war, listening to him talk and sending messages to their friends directly from the widget. Bob Peterson, co-director of UP and the voice of Dug assisted in creating some unique greetings and songs specifically for this widget. Dug could say over 100 phrases and sing various songs for the user. Based on the time of day.. (i.e. user views widget in the morning - Dug says "Good Morning", user views widget at night, Dug says "Bed Time"). If you happened to use the widget around a holiday Dug would say something relevant as well (i.e. "Merry Christmas" or "Happy Hanuka"). This fun and interactive widget truly brought the character from the movie UP to life, giving the fans the chance to get to know Dug within the interactive realm.
