Freightrailworks.org was designed to provide a unique experience to users by personalizing the impact of America’s freight rail industry - showcasing the industry’s underlying importance to the American economy and demonstrating the technologies and innovations that drive freight rail today. A flash-based micro site, frieghtrailworks.org serves as a companion piece to The Association of American Railroads’ aar.org website and provides viewers with an attractive and unique visual learning experience - allowing for an overall better understanding of freight rail and its innovative approaches to a sustainable future.

Freightrailworks.org uses proven storytelling techniques to promote the core benefits of freight rail through videos, slideshows, interactive modules, and informative infographics. Designed, developed, and deployed by Home Front, the site is meant to engage audiences - particularly those in the policy realm - who need an accessible and tangible portal into the essential facts and figures behind the freight rail industry. Freight Rail Works allows viewers to gain an overall better understanding of freight rail through the powerful stories of employees whose hard work powers the industry. This unique focus on storytelling – profiles and narratives that paint a picture of modern freight rail – captivates the audience and allows for better retention of information.
