Best Advocacy Online Video

Future Fortified - a campaign of the Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) - was created to help women and children around the world gain access to essential nutrients needed to live healthy, enriched lives. One of the key aspects of the campaign – the importance of nutrition in the first 1,000 days of a child’s life – needed to stand out to the audience.

Home Front created a concept and story for this online video and collaborated with Iranian-born artist Avish Khebrehzadeh to create the signature animations. Avish’s drawings were brought to life by Home Front - portraying the simplicity and elemental nature of nutrition.

The video focuses on nutritional packets -"sprinkles"- that can be added to any basic meal to enhance nutritional value. The “sprinkles” in the video were created in After Effects to give the video a distinct look and style. We follow a woman from pregnancy through the first 1,000 days of her child’s life while she uses the sprinkles to provide adequate nutrients to both herself and her child.

The goal was to produce an engaging and informative video that would support GAIN’s mission - improving the health and nutrition of at risk populations around the world. Our production team worked closely with GAIN to identify the critical messages and facts to incorporate into this video.

The animation can be easily distributed through social media sites, blogs, traditional media outlets, educational purposes as well as all GAIN and partner web sites.
