Best Advocacy Interactive Application, Best Political Interactive Application

The target was the Egyptian population that was voting for the first time in 50 years. Since the elections had several rounds and many citizens were unfamiliar with the process the APPLICATION was designed to engage them to share their stories of their voting experience. This "voter crowd sourcing" was then published on MSN Arabia to allow them to submit comments and share them on a BING map. This was important because the diversity of population in the country is so diverse education and economically, citizens read comments from their home town they were more interested in participating in the political process and voting. This form of activism was the first cloud computing application on Azzure and the 2.0 interactivity resulting in thousands of comments both in English and Arabic to help share the voting experience abroad. ElectionMall.com participated by visiting Cairo, Egypt and designed this first of kind Arab application during their Arab Spring Revolution and had targeted ads on Facebook and MSN websites. The application was used by all the major parties in Egypt as a way to promote their Political experience to keep the process fair and engaging. Many local publications including the Huffington Post wrote articles covering the “historical” and “unique ad approach” for the Egyptian Elections of 2012.
